March is Brain Injury Awareness Month

More than 5 million people in the U.S. are living with a brain injury, many facing challenges that are not always visible. At Adeo, we are committed to a vision where individuals with brain injuries lead connected, independent lives. Through personalized services tailored to each resident and their family, we provide the support needed to help every individual live life, elevated.

Advocacy and Community Recognition

This month, Adeo leadership joined local officials and community partners to raise awareness for Brain Injury Awareness Month and proudly accepted a proclamation recognizing its importance. Colorado currently ranks ninth in the nation for deaths due to traumatic brain injuries, highlighting the urgent need for education, prevention, and support.

In recognition of Adeo’s impact, the mayor also proclaimed a day in honor of Adeo, celebrating the organization’s ongoing commitment to individuals and families affected by brain injury and its mission to help residents live life elevated and spread JOY throughout the community.

A Major Milestone: 2730 at Adeo

We are proud to celebrate the opening of our newly renovated 2730 building in Greeley, expanding access to specialized residential services. This thoughtfully designed community offers 29 affordable and accessible private apartments that provide both comfort and independence.

The space includes shared recreation and dining areas, a supervised kitchen for skill building, a game room with computers and activities, a craft area for creativity and self expression, and 24/7 on-site staff support to ensure personalized care and safety: all designed to help residents live life, elevated.

We are incredibly grateful to the community partners who helped make the 2730 Grand Opening such a meaningful success. This milestone was made even more impactful thanks to the generosity and support of local businesses dedicated to strengthening our community.

Thank you to our generous sponsors, FMS Bank and Flood and Peterson, for supporting this important event. We also appreciate Palmer Flowers for the beautiful arrangements that brightened the space, and Good Day Pharmacy for the thoughtful gift basket.

Your partnership and support mean so much as we celebrate this exciting new chapter and continue to spread JOY throughout our community.

Looking Ahead

Thousands of Coloradans sustain traumatic brain injuries each year, and many are still waiting for services. With more than 5.3 million Americans living with brain injuries nationwide, Adeo’s mission is more vital than ever.

We are deeply grateful to our partners, supporters, and community members who continue to make this work possible. Together, we are creating more opportunities for healing, independence, and hope, while continuing to spread JOY across the communities we serve.

Founded in 1977, Adeo has grown into Northern Colorado’s only provider of specialized residential services for individuals with brain injuries, offering housing, wellness programs, and opportunities for meaningful community connection.

As we recognize Brain Injury Awareness Month, we invite you to continue learning, sharing, and supporting this important work.
